I've always been pretty good at being able to "Close read" things - english has always come pretty quickly to me. Once taking this class I realized I had a LONG way to go still, I really need to apply myself more in order to make my essays better and be able to write at the level I want to be at. This course really opened my eyes to what I need to do. I'm lucky that I only really had this class to focus on, because it let me focus more on what I needed to work on, "Performance, Feedback Revision!" Hahaha :)
I liked how we had to go online and look for our own stuff to write with because it truly feels like we are in college now. We're writing about stuff that other people are interested in, and doing it in a scholarly manner which is really weird! I know I have a long way to go with my papers, and all the stuff I've learned in this class has helped immensely with that, but atleast I know what needs to be done and can get started! Reading more closely may help, but also understanding what I'm reading and being able to incorporate it into my essays.
