I have a numerous amount of interests, but I personally feel that I am going to focus my blog on video games, and more specifically, "World of Warcraft," more commonly known as WoW. I know that most people associate the game with nerds, but there are so many aspects to the game that provide me with a plethora of real life skills. I realize some may have no idea what WoW is, and I plan to explain it fully in blogs to come!
It helped my typing immensely, as well as new diction which is always nice. There's the auction house, which is basically like a market, where you can sell and buy items which teaches you about economics. The raids in WoW have taught me to improvise and problem solve. Even if it is a video game, applying the lessons you can learn to real life applications makes WoW seem like a much better past time than most would think.
Another aspecet of WoW that I enjoy is that my friends from high school play, so it allows us all to keep in touch constantly in an environment that is enjoyable to us all. It helps build connections, and keep the connections that I made through junior high and high school. Not to say that I don't play sports or do other things, I'm actually quite good at most sports, and my grades aren't too shabby either!
